Scope
The IECQ CABC (Conformity Assessment Bodies Committee) of the IECQ System reports to the IECQ MC (Management Committee). The overall responsibility for the supervision of the globally harmonized application of the Rules of Procedure concerning quality assessment and includes among its duties the coordination of the activities of IECQ CBs is vested in the IECQ CABC, which is a Committee of the IECQ System and operates under the authority of the IECQ MC.
Who are the members of the conformity assessment bodies committee
The CABC comprises:
- a delegation of up to three persons from each accepted and applicant conformity assessment body. The delegation shall ensure effective globally harmonized application of the IECQ Rules of Procedure in the conformity assessment service deliveries to equipment users, manufacturers, and service providers;
- the Chair (with casting vote only);
- the Vice-Chair (without vote);
- the Executive Secretary (without vote);
- the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Management Committee (MC) (without vote);
- and Convenors and Co-Convenors of Working Groups / Subgroups established by the CABC (without vote)
- the Chair of the CAB (ex-officio without vote); and
- the IEC Secretary-General & CEO (ex-officio without vote).
- the IEC President (ex-officio without vote).
