Approved component capability certification
The IECQ Capability certification is a programme that is part of the IECQ Approved component products scheme. It is a voluntary programme that provides independent verification of a manufacturer's capability to consistently produce electronic components that meet specified quality, performance, and reliability requirements.
The IECQ Capability certification is designed to assess a manufacturer's ability to consistently produce components that meet the relevant international standards/specifications and customer requirements. It covers a range of areas including design, manufacturing, testing, quality control, and supply chain management.
The certification process involves a rigorous evaluation of a manufacturer's capabilities by an independent third-party certification body. The evaluation includes an on-site audit of the manufacturer's facilities, processes, and quality management systems. The certification is valid for three years, and manufacturers are subject to annual surveillance audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
The IECQ Capability certification provides customers with assurance that the components they are purchasing are produced by a manufacturer with a proven track record of quality and reliability. It also helps manufacturers to demonstrate their commitment to quality and to differentiate themselves from competitors in the marketplace.
