Session Outcomes & Key Learnings
IECQ CB Exchange + Training/Awareness Session 2025 – Singapore
This session provided important updates and practical guidance to IECQ Certification Bodies (CBs) on the evolving landscape of IECQ services and digital tools. Participants gained valuable insights into IECQ’s expanding role in supporting the circular economy, environmental verification, and global supply chain assurance.
Key Outcomes:
Expanded Circular Economy Services
New IECQ services now include verification of hydrogen carbon footprint (ISO 19870) and organizational-level GHG emissions (ISO 14064-1), alongside existing ISO 14067 services, reinforcing IECQ’s role in credible climate-related claims.
Clarified Scope Extension Requirements
Clear guidance was provided on the documentation, verifier competence, and reporting formats required for CBs seeking acceptance to offer new environmental verification services under ISO 14067, 14064-1, and 19870.
Launch of the GHG Resource Centre
A new online hub offering direct access to trusted emission factor databases and tools, designed to support consistent, transparent carbon footprint assessments by both verifiers and applicant organizations.
Launch of the HSPM Certification Resource Centre
A centralised platform to support IECQ HSPM implementation, including regulatory databases, recall alerts, FAQs on certification scope, and access to material declaration tools such as IEC 62474.
Enhanced Communication Tools
The “Who We Are” section of the IECQ FAQs was updated to improve stakeholder understanding of IECQ’s structure, services, and user support tools.
Introduction to the New IECQ Online Certificate System (OCS)
IECQ’s integration into the global IEC OCS was announced, offering improved access to certification records, multilingual certificate display, and streamlined workflows for CBs. Training rollout and user onboarding plans were introduced.
