Mr Alfred Au

MC Chair

Mr Alfred Au became the IECQ MC Chair on 01 January 2024.

Mr Au has been Group Technical & Compliance Director at BSI since 2015. He worked previously for the Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway Corporation, for the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) and for the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and for the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI). He has several university degrees, including a Bachelor of Engineering from Newcastle University (UK) and a Postgraduate diploma in Occupational health and Safety from Greenwich University (UK). He is a member of several IECQ working groups.

Mr Au has more than 30 years of experience in engineering, compliance, general/project management, process evaluation and improvement, business portfolio evaluation, training, certification and accreditation globally.

Mrs Marie-Elisabeth d'Ornano

Immediate Past MC Chair

Mrs Marie-Elisabeth d'Ornano became the IECQ Immediate Past Chair MC on 01 January 2021, having served as IECQ Chair MC since 01 January 2013. Mrs d'Ornano additionally serves as the French member in the IEC Conformity Assessment Board (CAB).

Mrs d'Ornano, has a master’s degree in innovation and technology management and received an engineering degree. She has the position of Global Certification Director in LCIE Bureau Veritas (France) and, as part of her responsibility, is also involved in different certification systems. In France, she is a member of the French Electrotechnical Committee Board and is also on the Board of AFNOR (French SNA). At the European level, Mrs d’Ornano is ETICS President - European Electrical Products Certification Association - which regroups the main European certification bodies in this field.

Mrs. d'Ornano received the IEC Thomas A. Edison Award in 2016. The award is granted to active TC/SC Officers (Chair, Secretary, Assistant Secretary) and Officers of the IEC Conformity Assessment Systems in recognition of dedicated services and exceptional individual contributions to the effective management of technical committees or IEC CA Systems.

Mr Juyong Wan

MC Vice-Chair

Mr Juyong Wan became the MC Vice-Chair on 01 January 2021, having served as CABC Chair from 2012 to 2017. Prior to that, he served as IECQ Vice-Chair CABC since 2018.

Mr Wan is a Chief engineer and a Certified high maturity lead appraiser at the China Electronic Product Reliability and Environmental Testing Research Institute (CEPREI). He has an Engineering bachelor degree in electronic material and components and post-graduate degrees in electronics and mechatronics engineering.

He has been a member of several IECQ working groups for many years and received the IEC 1906 Award in 2014.

Mr Ki-Seuk Lee

Treasurer
Term 2023-01-01 to 2025-12-31, Term 1st, Korea, Republic of
Mr Ki-Seuk Lee became Treasurer on 01 January 2023. In 2000, Mr Lee obtained a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, US and in 2016, he received a PhD in Material Science and Engineering from Pusan National University in Busan, Korea. He currently holds the position of National Standard Coordinator at KATS and KSA and is a professor at Hanyang University-Erica in Ansan, Korea.

He has been a co-convenor of IECQ Working group 11: Nuclear technologies since 2017 and a member of the IEC New revenue generation group (I-NRG) since 2018. In addition, he has been a member of several IECQ working groups since the early 2000s.

Experienced in Korea and international certification businesses for more than 20 years, Mr Lee has been in charge of the harmonization of Korea certification systems into the IEC Conformity Assessment Systems. In 2014, he won the IEC 1906 Award for his active and well-respected involvement in the IEC CA community, including IECEE, IECEx and IECQ.

Mr Chris Agius

Executive Secretary

Mr Chris Agius is the Executive Secretary with CEO operational responsibilities for IECEx and IECQ.

Mr Agius has a longstanding involvement in the development of national and international standards and certification systems. His background is in electrical engineering. He has extensive experience in the design, development and commissioning of process control instrumentation; the design, installation and commissioning of industrial installations, as well as electrical testing and engineering investigation of industrial equipment and control processes.

Mr Agius’s background also includes engineering compliance and experience as an ISO 9001 Quality management systems auditor and an IECEx and IECQ Lead assessor. He is a member of various International ISO CASCO expert working groups and also the author of numerous papers and presentations.

Mr Agius is also responsible for the IEC Sydney-based office.

Mr Jérôme Reysson

CABC Chair
Term 2024-01-01 to 2026-12-31, Term 2nd, France
Mr Jérôme Reysson became the CABC Chair on 01 January 2021. He previously served as the IECQ French delegate expert contributor.

Mr Reysson has BTEC Higher National Diploma in electrical engineering. He worked as a Business Certification Manager at LCIE China from 2002 to 2006. That year he joined LCIE Bureau Veritas (France) where, from 2006 to 2018, he held several positions related to IECEE and IECEx. Since 2018, he has been a LCIE Certification Officer. He is a member of several IECQ working groups.

Mr Reysson has worked for more than 20 years in testing certification. As a Certification officer at LCIE, Mr Reysson’s areas of expertise include electronic components, electric cables, emergency lighting, luminaires, cable ducting and trunking.

Mr Juyong Wan

CABC Vice-Chair

Mr Juyong Wan became the IECQ CABC Vice-Chair on 01 January 2018, having served as IECQ CABC Chair from 2012 to 2017.

Mr Wan, who is a Chief engineer at the China Electronic Product Reliability and Environmental Testing Research Institute (CEPREI), he is responsible for managing the overall technical direction of CEPREI R&D and acting as CTO for the whole company. He is in charge of quality management, security management and new business development. At CEPREI, he is also participating in strategic planning and financial management.
